Băile Homorod (Homorod Bath) is situated in the valley of Homorod Mare stream, between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Miercurea Ciuc. This place is administered by Vlăhița town. The mineral water springs of Homorod were already known and used by the Romans. The real development started in the 19th century. The flourishing of the resort can be attributed to Ármin Nagysolymosi Koncz, a pharmacist from Odorheiu Sceuiesc, who was renting to operate and develop the resort together with the Lobogó Bath of Holy Cross Mine (Szentkeresztbánya). He operated and maintained a restaurant, a music pavilion, a hair saloon and a coach service.

During the communism the private cottages were nationalized. In 1968, it was annexed to the town of Vlăhița, its civilian villas and catering units were reorganized into a national pioneer and student camp. After 1990, the spa began to decline, and the owners before nationalization (1948) sought to reclaim their land and buildings. From the year 2000, tourism in Băile Homorod starts to gain strenght again.

The names of the 12 mineral water springs have been forgotten or changed. The healthy and delicious sparkling mineral water of the two most popular springs, Lobogo, Maria and Klotild is still very much appreciated by a lot of people. They are recommended for digestive, cardiovascular diseases. Some of them are connected by a promenade called Borvíz út/Mineral water road, furnished with a wooden pool that can be used for outdoor bathing.
