It is a trip on carriages pulled by tractors (or: tractor -drawn cart) to the Mădăraș Harghita. Climb the 1801 m peak of Mădăraș Harghita which gives you an excelent view over the Harghita-platou and the surrounding mountains. It is possible to visit one of the most beautiful and best-preserved wetlands in Szeklerland, the Szökő Wetland, well-known for its beautiful Szökő waterfall. The tractor-drawn cart has got comfortable seat, tarpauling against the rain and a good athmosphere! Recommended equipment: boots, layered clothing, raincoat.
Total period of time: 8 hours. Time for the tractor-drawn cart to the mountain: 3 hours there and back. Walkingtime to the top: 1,5 hours there and back, walkingtime to the Szökő waterfall: 1,5 hours there and back.
Departure is from the square in front of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church.
This program can be supplemented with preparing of your own Chimney Cake. We also provide guided tours on request.
